WEST END INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLE
The West End Instrumental Ensemble projects an intensely spiritual aura
while performing unusually inspired renditions of traditional Negro
spirituals and Hymns. One’s emotions while listening, may range from a
happy toe tapping joyful feeling, to a meditative Introspection of ones
owns spiritual reality.
In the tradition of such auspicious music as
Duke Ellingtons’ “Sacred Concert”, and John Coltrane’s,“ A Love
Supreme”, along with Louis Armstrong’s renowned rendition of, “When The
Saints Go Marching In”, the West End Instrumental Ensemble’s debut
release, “One In The Spirit”, upholds this tradition.
