KEBBI WILLIAMS

Kebbi Williams may be considered amongst today’s leading improvisers on Tenor saxophone. A true Eulipian, his musical world is an experience of unlimited global (and even trans-global) exploration. He may be encountered playing R&B, avant-garde Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Latin, Afro-Beat, whatever… but regardless of the musical setting Kebbi’s sound is uniquely and commandingly his own.

A graduate of Howard University, Kebbi’s command of the instrument has afforded him the opportunity to work with such notables as Outkast, Branford Marsalis, Donald Byrd, Roy Hargrove, Cee-lo, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Bilal, Oteil Burbridge, Me’Shell Ndegeocello, Russell Gunn, Betty Carter, Abbey Lincoln, Derek Trucks, and Julie Dexter.

There are those whose aptitude for constant growth and exhaustive creative expression earn them the serious attention and admiration of their peers. Kebbi Williams is certainly such a one.
